Andrew Pommier has been a member for a while and we’ve done a couple of great interviews with him about his illustrations, skateboarding, and his experiences growing up in Canada, including his sick Fully Illustrated Interview, so we were stoked when he sent over this banging nine track mix for his third piece with us.

Rather than give you our thoughts on his selections, read his writeup below and give his playlist a listen to discover what the tracks mean to him and what inspired him to put them together.

This list is built from my travel experiences all the way back to 1995 when I was in art school in Florence, Italy.

Tical by Method Man was just released and the song with Mary J. Blige was a real ear worm so I had to buy the CD at import prices which was about $20 and being I was living minimally, that was a hefty investment.

The rest of the songs are gathered from a cross section of times’ travelling.

Some of what was on steady rotation on my iPod – Chad VanGaalen and Kanye West – and songs I couldn’t get away from like Elle King and The Weeknd, and some tracks that remind me of travel.

In 2011 I went to Tokyo with my friend to see Neutral Milk Hotel play and Pink Mountaintops is a great song about travel and has a spot in my heart as I first heard it in the Antisocial Skate Shop video.

This is an eclectic list which echoes my generally listening habits. I don’t tend to listen to one artist or one genre of music. That feels very claustrophobic to me. I like variety and contrast. I like top 40s pop all the way to tonal pieces.
