I once drank a bottle of maximum strength Robitussin and robo tripped my ass off to the Billy Idol – “Whiplash Smile” album just sitting in the dark with a blue light itching myself.

Which tracks have you heard that you like to skate to the most?

I don’t really skate while listening to music, I always wanted to skate with headphones but the times that I tried they just kept falling off and thinking about it, I like being able to hear whats going on around me, so it seems like it would be hard but I sometimes have music stuck in my head while I’m skating.

I had Jerry Hsu’s freak out sesh montage song by Ultimate Spinach titled “Somedays You Just Can’t Win” stuck in my head one day recently and I got bodied skating the flat bar at Chevy.

I’ve also got a couple songs in mind if i was ever to try to make an actual part but they are top secret!

Stöner – “Boogie To Baja”

The Obsessed – “The Way She Fly”

Shinki Chen – “Corpse”

What tunes have you heard in a skate video that get you hyped to go skate when you hear them?

Just like most skaters, it was skate videos that really first got me into different genres of music. For context, I was 12 in 1997 when I started skating and watching videos.

I remember watching the Birdhouse video “The End” and the am section with Brian Sumner and Jeff Lenoce had The Misfits – “Night Of The Living Dead” playing and that was what really got me into them. That song got me SO pumped to skate for some reason and there are so many more from that era.

Welcome to Hell had more Misfits and also Iron Maiden – “Hallowed Be Thy Name”. Misled Youth put me on to Black Flag and The Who, and Samhai

Thrill of it All had a bunch like Adrian Lopez’s part made that Stones song so much better too, love that song by The Rolling Stones – “Gimme Shelter”.Also Jamie Thomas’s song The Chambers Brothers – “Time Has Come Today”.

Baker 2G had Ramones and Project Pat!

Stuff from old 411’s too. I had a couple that had Dr. Octagon which introduced me to Kool Keith. Watching skate videos really is what got me into most of the music I like!

What are the last songs you listened to?
