A note about the soundtrack. We wanted something contemporary, matching the technically advanced style of the éS shoes designs. And we were going into a new century, the 2K future…. It was clear that we would not use any rock ’n’ roll tunes, and anyway I wrongly believed that all the good tunes had already been used. So foolish I was 20 years ago

I had no kind of knowledge or culture in electronic music. But thankfully, I was sharing the same office as Sole Technologies ‘ webmaster, mister Marcel Appleman aka @huphtur , a dutch music fanatic. He had loads and loads of CD’s. So basically, he brought me those boxes containing hundreds of CD’s each, and I spent night listening to every single track, thousands of them! Appleman’s music library was the first stone for building up the soundtrack

Fun fact, @erickoston had serious doubts about the music we used for his part, ‘Theme for the Outcaste’ by Pressure Drop. So Eric ask me to show the song to @tyevans, to have his feedback about it. Because Ty surely knew much more about music than I did, and especially for that kind of music. His selections for the Trasnworld video were excellent. That put a lot of pressure on me to basically have Ty to give us his approval. But he did, and I was happy and relieved. At that stage, I didn’t already know how good this song would fit on Koston’s part. It was during the editing that I realised how good the beats were matching with the pop/slide/land rhythms of the tricks in the beggining of the part, which people enjoyed so much. I was amazed to make this discover

OK, I’ll share more insight on Menikmati in upcoming posts….
